Styling and interiorphotography for Postercandy

In this blogpost I like to share with you the photo's of a really nice assignment I did for Postercandy.  Postercandy is a website where you can print your own photo's on posters in different sizes. You can simply upload these photo's via your computer, Facebook or Instagram and create your own poster by selecting the photo's in the different squares. You can also choose if you like a black or white background and also the ammount of squares on the poster, this makes the difference in the sizes of the photo's. A really easy and beautiful product what you can made quickly on their new website here.

For this new website I was asked to create images with their Postercandies. The assignment was to show a Postercandy in a various of atmospheres in different places in a home. The most important thing was to let the Postercandy really pop out of the photo and make this a musthave for everyone who sees the photo. This was a nice challenge and I started this assignment with creating some atmospheres in a moodboard from several rooms at two locations (homes) I've found. ( Thank you Anne Britt and Lizzy for your hospitality!). I worked out these atmospheres with colours and themes for the posters. Together with Postercandy we made the final selection of the themes and after the preparations and shopping of some extra styling I was ready for the photoshoot.

In two days I've styled and photographed the images below in different corners like the kitchen, livingroom, diningroom, kidsroom and a bedroom in two houses here in the Netherlands. It's was so much fun to do, especially to work with the theme's and colours in these different corners of a home. Im really happy with the result and it's excited to see my photo's on the new website from Postercandy. Do you also like to make a Postercandy yourself? Couleur Locale in Knokke-Heist

Last week I was in Knokke-Heist in Belgium for an appointment for a new interiordesign assignment for a private home. After this great meeting I visited the centre of Knokke-Heist where I found this Couleur Locale shop! The day before the new webshop got online with beautiful photo's by talented friend Paulina. When I walked into the store I feel really comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and the most beautiful products. All the products you find here has their own story and come from all over the world. And what do you think about these amazing colours in the happy lights, I want to have some for my new home! I love their quote 'Bring the world into your home'. They also have a store in Antwerpen and you can find them online here. This store is a must-visit, so take a look!

25th birthday

It's my 25th birthday today :) Im not having a big celebration because of these busy days with work and some new exciting projects to come, but will give a party for family and friends this summer (hopefully also to celebrate some exciting news what I can tell later!). Im looking forward to the dinner I will have with my mother tonight in Utrecht. These weeks Im working on different projects, today Im doing the styling and photography for my new Binti Home Shop and also my new project website. I love to work with these beautiful products and the possibility of using my creativity all day. More about the shop and new website soon. Now a little break for this delicious hazelnut pie.. (Yes, that little ballerina girl is me..)

Productstyling photoshoot for Melli Mello

I know it's december and these images gives a real summer feeling. But I really want to share this project with you. It was last august when I was ask by Melli Mello to do the styling for their new catalogue. I really like their colourful products and it was so much fun to create a setting with these beautiful products in a Melli Mello mix of ethnic, chic, bohemian and modern style. The shoot was on a great location in Son & Breugel where we were able to use the big garden on a really bright day. I think we've had a good collaboration with the two models, photographer, visagist and Melli Mello designers to create these photo's for the new catalogue. Behind the scenes at Koffietijd

It already has been a week ago when I was live on Dutch television at Koffietijd. I still can't believe I was really there but it was a great experience and thank you so much for all your kind words and reactions! For this setting I've used products from different brands and I really want to show you where you can find these products. First I want to give a big thanks to Basiclabel, HK Living and Friday next for allowing me to use their products for this setting. Also I want to thank Mono Deco and Fest Amsterdam for their great service and make it possible I can show their great products. I felt totally in love with the Rusty lamp from Zuiver, that's why I kept this one for my own home office. What product did you like the most? VT Wonen barn Woonbeurs 2013

Yesterday it was the last day of the dutch living fair called Woonbeurs. Today I would like to share the photo's I've made in the VT Wonen house on this fair. In a big barn you can find different rooms with a sophisticated edgy look. They use a lot of products from their own collection in combination with products from Dutch and Danish brands. I think VT Wonen did a great job with this barn, what do you think?

House Doctor, award for the best looking stand on Maison et Objet 2013

My last blog after my visit at Maison et Objet Paris last week is about House Doctor. This Danish brand presents their new Moments collection 2013 beside their Everyday collection. Oh how I love these products and furniture. With a large productrange you can add some House Doctor vitamins in every room in your house and that's what makes House Doctor a good brand for me. When I want to use styling for a private home or photography I always think about the products of House Doctor. Because they have good basics but also every products has their own charm. When I was walking in this huge stand on the fair I saw some nice products I really like, and I would love to work with this products for some autumn and christmas shoots. ( Don't you think the coloured cushions and rugs are amazing!) Soon I'll tell you more about some nice d.i.y. and stylingcorners with this new products of House Doctor. And a really nice fact before you enjoy the photo's below, House Doctor won the award for best looking stand on Maison et Objet fair, congratulations! They deserve it! What do you think?

Maison et Objet 2013: Zenza

The stand from Egyptian/dutch company Zenza on the Maison et Objet fair in Paris was mindblowing! I already knew the sweet people from Zenza because i've worked with them before, it was really nice to see them again. What a great job they did with an amazing styling and good atmosphere they've created with their products. Playing arabic music ( I almost started dancing right there), wearing chic clothes and having a big smile on their face. I really feel the passion on that moment and that's what a good brand is all about. Zenza has been creating handmade products with artisanal techniques for more than 18 years and their collection is still growing. Flair vriendinnenweekend ( Westcord hotels)

De eerste Flair Vriendinnenweekend ( 5 t/m 7 april) wordt gehouden op het eiland Vlieland in samenwerking met Westcoard hotels. Een weekend waarbij vriendinnen kunnen genieten van het eiland, een openingsfeest, diverse workshops en heerlijk eten. Lovely weekend with my new camerabag

Het is bijna weekend, weer een fijne werkweek achter de rug.. en een leuke verjaardag! Vorige week kocht ik dan eindelijk een nieuwe Full-frame camera van Nikon welke ik afgelopen dinsdag meteen kon uitproberen tijdens de fotografie van een binnenkijker. Deze binnenkijker fotografeerde ik bij Helga van JT Design in haar prachtige woning in een oud schoolgebouw in Den Haag, uiteraard later meer hierover!

DIY Fotografie voor Supercoop magazine 2012

Supercoop heeft een nieuw magazine uitgebracht, de keukentafelgids, verkrijgbaar in alle Supermarkten. Afgelopen zomer vroeg stylist Marieke mij of ik twee DIY-producties voor dit nieuwe blad wilde fotograferen. Natuurlijk! Een erg leuke dag met haar zoontje Luuk als model. Een leuke DIY lampion voor sint maarten en een frisse DIY kersttak voor bij de kersttafel. Was een erg leuke productie om te fotograferen!

Een ode aan Mr. Owl 1/4

Eigenlijk wilde ik de post maandag plaatsen maar vond de foto's zo leuk dat ik ze alvast voor het weekend met jullie wil delen. Zoals een aantal van jullie weten spaar ik beeldjes van uilen. Het is niet dat ervoor op pad ga, maar als er een uil op mijn pad komt neem ik de uil zeker mee! Deze uiltjes kreeg ik van Christine van House of C, toen ik vorige week haar huis fotografeerde voor een binnenkijker. Nogsteeds erg blij mee, dankjewel Christine! Frisse witte uiltjes leek me mooi in combinatie met een warme tint van hout voor een natuurlijke uitstraling. Wat denk jij? Fijn weekend! ( maandag zal Mr. Owl nummer 2 op de blog verschijnen)

Styling van Chinatown op de Libelle zomerweek 2012

Afgelopen maandag liet ik al even de fietsen zien die we gestyled hadden tijdens de opbouw van de Libelle zomerweek. Alweer voor het derde jaar aan de slag, en altijd weer leuk om met een team stylisten alle tenten van de Libelle zomerweek te stylen! Het thema dit jaar was Chinatown, een heel fijn en sfeervol thema wat tot uiting kwam in lampionnen, de kleur rood, tekens, fietsen, en prints. Vorige week zondag was alweer de afbouw. Ik hoop dat iedereen een leuke zomerweek heeft gehad!
