D.I.Y. painting a vintage stool with chalkpaint

I got this vintage stool from my aunt a little while ago. I wanted to give this stool a new fresh look. I decided to paint try the Poetic Blue chalkpaint from Pure & Original for the restyling. I love the chalkpaint because it gives the stool a matt and natural look. It was really easy to do, because the paint was dry really quick I could use this stool for styling the same day! Do you want more information about chalkpaint or like to use this paint in your home? I can advice you with the colours and what paint you can used the best. The paint can be ordered by Binti Home as well.

Histor 101 karakters cabinet - Memories of the desert

Earlier I've annouched on this blog that I was really happy to paint one of the cabinets Piet Hein Eek designed for Histor's competition 101 karakters. I've blogged about my mood board before and my theme for this cabinet was Memories of the Desert. When I received the cabinet I felt totally in love with the simplicity of this cabinet, you can see the photo's here. For this competition I had to paint this cabinet with the Histor perfect finish. To choose the colours out of all those beautiful colours was a pleasure. I decided to work with the colours Loom, Lei and Ogenblik. But while I was painting this cabinet, I really loved the simplicity and neutral look of the colours Loom and Lei. So that's why I decided not to paint with Ogenblik anymore. I'd love to paint with these colours of Histor and Im really happy with the result. Tomorrow, saturday 9th of november, I will go to Piet Hein Eek in Eindhoven where I will meet the other bloggers who has also painted their cabinets. Also I will meet the winners who send their design for this competition. Maybe I see you tomorrow and wish you a lovely weekend!
